SUMMARY:Evening Fika with Author Rachel Coyne\, Unbound
DESCRIPTION:Twinflower Books invites you to an evening with author Rachel Coyne\, to discuss her body of work\, including the essays included in Unbound Composing Home. Coffee and donuts will be served as we have an informal discussion with Rachel about her work. You will have an opportunity to purchase her book and have it signed.\n\n\n\nAbout Unbound: Composing Home\n\nTwenty-one writers reflect on the concept of home and its polyvalent meanings.\n\n\n\n"As my obsession with narratives bloomed & I shifted into my role as managing editor at New Rivers\, I realize that I built another family here--a new home in the narratives & works of my writing friends & family--in their words\, in their minds\, in their lives. That's what these pages amount to: an assemblage\, a gallery\, a collage of a few members of my writerly found family. A tribute to how they grapple with their own understanding of home--juxtapositions palimpsestic\, vibrant\, & polyvalent. Beautiful & resonant in the ways they are themselves. Reading their homes has helped me understand my knowing of the word too. Hopefully you\, dear reader can find a home here too\, or find some new understanding within these pages." ~Nayt Rundquist\, editor\n\n \n\nAbout the Author\n\nRachel Coyne is a writer and painter from Lindstrom\, MN. Her books include Daughter\, Have I Told You? (Henry Holt)\, Whiskey Heart (New Rivers Press)\, The Patron Saint of Lost Comfort Lake (New Rivers Press). She recently completed The Nine\, the final book in her YA e-book trilogy The Antigone Ravynn Chronicles and she is featured in the anthology Unbound: Composing Home (New Rivers Press)\, and the upcoming anthology Running Wild\, Volume 7 (Running Wild Press). Coyne is a collector of vintage editions of Jane Eyre\, a devotee of Pablo Neruda and a lover of Don Williams songs.
