DESCRIPTION:Discover the joy and immense nutritional value of growing your own microgreens. In the class\, students will learn the terms associated with growing microgreens\, the equipment needed\, where to source seed and how to record growing data. We will talk about options for small scale to larger scale grows. Students will learn strategies to overcome the challenges of growing microgreens indoors. At the end of class\, students will feel comfortable growing microgreens at home for themselves as well as for others. The knowledge you will take home will equip you with healthy practices to grow food sustainably.\n\nAll are welcome   WEI classes are open to everyone.\n\n\n\nInstructor Bio: Tiffany-Jo Hedican has a passion for the natural world and living sustainably. She graduated with three associates degrees: Landscaping/Horticulture\, Greenhouse Management\, and Urban Forestry. Tiffany-Jo's family homesteads in Sunrise Township and she has completed intermediate herbalism training with Master Herbalist Gigi Stafne of Green Wisdom School. Tiffany-Jo also works to restore native landscapes and ecosystems.\n\n\n\nWEI has an annual scholarship fund to support cost-accessible programming.
