Come join local herbalist, Heather Mashuga, at the Uncommon Loon for a hands-on Elderberry Syrup making class Sunday afternoon, February 20th.
Elderberries are known for their immune-boosting and anti-viral properties. They can reduce the duration of colds and flus, as well as the symptoms experienced. They are also packed full of other benefits like clearing mucous, reducing inflammation, and promoting proper circulation. Elderberries are a rich source of vitamins A and E, which help your body maintain optimal health.
During this class you will learn how to make Elderberry Syrup, about the combined medicinal properties of the herbs used, and how to identify and harvest elderberries. Each participant will leave with handouts and their own bottle of Elderberry Syrup.
Cost to attend is $35 and includes supplies needed along with an Uncommon Loon Doub-Loon drink token good for a pint of craft beer or hard seltzer.
Preregister is preferred via email to Heather at herbalistham@gmail.com or text 518-847-6699. Walks-ins are also welcome on the day of event.
