The morning will begin with gathering for FIKA (coffee and a treat) and entertainment by the Nya Duvemåla Folkmusiklag "house band". at 9:30am.
Dr. Michelle Terrell will be the keynote speaker at the Friends of the Karl Oskar House annual meeting on April 12th at 10:00 at the Chisago Lakes HS Wildcat Community Center. She will share discoveries made during past archaeological studies in the greater Chisago Lakes area.
Through this presentation learn about how archaeologists do their work; the ways in which the region’s landscape has dramatically changed over time; and what we can learn from archaeology about the people who lived here before us.
Michelle has over 30 years of professional experience conducting archaeological and historical studies in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. Dr. Terrell’s research focuses on the relationship between cultural traditions, the documentary record, and archaeological evidence. She is co-owner of Two Pines Resource Group, a cultural resources management firm that assists both public and private clients with their compliance and permitting needs.
