Join Gammelgården Museum as we welcome the beginning of the Swedish Christmas season with the celebration of Santa Lucia on December 12th. A Breakfast Jul Bord with a Santa Lucia program will be held at the Scandia Community Center at 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The program features special music performances by the Svenskarnas Dag Choir honoring Santa Lucia and her ministry of bringing light into the very dark days of December.
There will be no Swedish prayer service held at the Gammelkyrkan (Old Church) at Gammelgården Musuem this year but Rev. Alan Hagstrom will preside over the 8:00 and 9:30 Sunday worship services at Elim Lutheran Church on December 12th with a Santa Lucia themed sermon. Everyone is welcome to attend this service.
