About Us

Established in 2008, the volunteer-driven Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation serves people and communities in the Chisago Lakes area (defined by the boundaries of Chisago Lakes School District #2144). The mission: to build permanently endowed funds to support projects, programs and initiatives to enhance the quality of life throughout our communities.

Notable CLACF projects include the Life is Great on Highway 8 Big Chairs and Swedish Barn Quilt Trail, Art Dash fundraisers, and, significantly, annual grant awards made to local non-profits. This year, watch for details on the 2022 Big Idea grant competition: up to $10K will go to the winning civic-minded project.

As an affiliate of St. Croix Valley Foundation, the Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation board of directors can assure donors that gifts will be professionally managed, used wisely and effectively, and utilized to enhance the future well being of the Chisago Lakes area.

Our funds are not the result of a single person’s or corporation’s giving but instead represent hundreds of donors who care about the Chisago Lakes area. We make your money work for the Chisago Lakes area . . . forever!
